Multimedia Specialist
The Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for creating multimedia content that promotes Opportunity International EduFiance’s mission while adhering to its core values. The role will gather stories on programmatic priorities, which will help the organization produce timely and consistent messaging for internal and external use.
RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team and others as appropriate, supporting the development of on-brand internal and external presentations, and other needs as necessary.
- Gather assets – photos, video, audio – and produce compelling stories presented as photo essays, videos, motion graphics, and other avenues as appropriate.
- Support brand consistency by providing technical assistance, reformatting, and branding, as needed.
- Maintain Opportunity International’s digital asset management system, ensuring all photos and videos are labelled correctly.
- Design and prepare to produce print publications, including brochures, event materials, and templates, as well as for website and online communications, with the guidance of the EduFinance Marketing & Communication team.
- Create, maintain, and manage a production calendar and schedule for each project, taking the lead on all production-related communication.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience in filming and editing rich content and multimedia production.
- Excellent photography skills (a portfolio of work will be requested).
- At least 3 years of experience with videography and video editing.
- Photo editing skills (proficiency in Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw preferred).
- Graphic design skills (experience with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, etc., preferred).
- Exemplary interpersonal skills: ability to collaborate effectively with culturally diverse people in the local communities where we work.
- Ability to work well independently when needed, while having a strong orientation toward contributing to shared objectives and outcomes as part of a team.
- Flexibility with frequent changes in plans and priorities as needs and opportunities arise.
- Experience in low-resource or rural settings is strongly preferred.
- Passionate about Opportunity’s mission. Able to promote and communicate the organization’s goals and objectives to external and internal stakeholders.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Written and verbal fluency in English, with additional fluency in 1 or 2 local languages required. Must be able to attend & fully participate in meetings conducted in English.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- This role requires 25-50% travel (both domestic and international)
